Origins: Established in the early 1900s in Martinpur, a Christian village founded in 1898 by Rev. Dr. Samuel Martin.
Nationalization (1972): Taken over by the Government of Pakistan; academic quality declined significantly.
Post-Denationalization (1998): Returned to PEB with only 57 students and nearly no functional infrastructure. Rebuilding began with support from PEB partners.
Location: Martinpur, Sheikhupura District (population ~10,000)
INFRASTRUCTURE:
Academic Block: New 8-classroom block completed in 2015; a multipurpose hall, principal’s office, and admin building completed in 2022.
Labs: Multimedia and music instruments added; science/computer labs status not specified.
Playground: Playground equipment added in 2017.
At CGHS Martinpur we encourage each student to reach their full academic potential. We are proud of their hard work and success! As a rural village, one of our greatest needs is scholarships for children to attend school. This year 60% of students received full fee scholarships! This is encouraging, yet there are still many more children in the village in need of scholarships so they can attend school.
